ACNE TREATMENTS

Acne treatments can include a wide range of options, depending on the severity and type of acne. Mild acne can often be treated with over-the-counter topical treatments such as benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, or alpha hydroxy acids. For more moderate to severe cases, prescription-strength topical treatments or oral medications such as antibiotics or isotretinoin may be necessary. Other acne treatments may include medical-grade skin care, such as chemical peels or laser therapy, or lifestyle changes like avoiding certain foods or reducing stress.
